Sermon Notes: Signs of salvation: Boldness

Signs of salvation: part 1: Boldness

Romans 10:9    That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10    For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Rom 10:11    For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Rom 10:12    For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Rom 10:13    For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

If you are ashamed or embarrassed to claim Jesus Christ as your savior then you have not accepted Christ, you have accepted merely the idea of Christ. You don't really believe that Christ has saved you from Hell, you probably don't even believe in a real literal eternal place of fiery torment but you pray an empty prayer so that you can sleep at night and convince yourself that your saved.

That is not salvation

You know, and God knows, wether or not you believe, or are a fake.

Those who are saved are unashamed, because they understand what they have been saved from.

What is Hell?
Luke 16:23-31

God does not send us to Hell, just like the judge doesn't send you here, sin sends to Hell just as crime sends to jail, God is just and therefore cannot allow sin to slide, which is why Christ had to die for us because He was the only perfect sacrifice.

People laugh at me, I'm not going to Hell
People mock me, I'm not going to Hell
People separate from me, I'm not going to Hell
People persecute me I'm not going to Hell
People hate me I'm not going to Hell!

Luke 6:22    Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
Luke 6:23    Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

This is the only place in scripture that we are told to leap for joy!

A bible example
Acts 5:16-42

Does this describe your faith and boldness in Christ?

Or is your faith better described by Galatians 1:7

1:6-8

You believe in a Christ who is only around when you want Him, and who agrees with everything you do. You want Salvation from Hell but not from your sin.

Galatians 1:4    Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

Christ has saved is from Hell, but also from the present evil, only Christ can conquer the sin that ensnares you, the drug your addicted to, the temper you have, the alcohol you drink, the lusts you desire to fulfill.

If your attitude is to get saved so that you can run back to sin and "be okay" because "I'm saved" that is not Bible.

1st John 1:4-2:6

The world wants a Christ that is all love all the time to everyone, a Christ who doesn't mind your sin and would never hurt a fly, a Christ that would never offend anyone, but the Christ of the bible is God in the flesh, he is love, but He is just, and righteous He destroyed millions for the sins of homosexuality, discontentment, bitterness, idol worship and more... When you say that your saved and live like the devil you are mocking God!

Galatians 6:7    Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

So knowing these things, that a man who is saved is unashamed, knowing that God will not be mocked, are you a believer? Or are you a fake.

Romans 12:1    I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2    And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

It is never to late to get all in for God, and if you have not ever been truly saved as the Bible says, it's not too late.
