Thoughts on Prayer
What is prayer?
Our communication towards God.
How can we as sinners pray to a righteous God?
Because we're under the blood of Christ (if your saved).
Hebrews 4:16 but wait "Therefore" ....back up verses 14-15, now therefore (because of what was previously stated... Verse 16.
Why do we pray?
Because God listens- Psalm 66:19-20
To get help- Psalm 64:1
To thank and praise God- Psalm 139:14
What keeps us from praying?
Distractions, distractions, distractions, Acts 16:16-24 verse 25 prays anyways, verse 34 soul saving results.
Why do our prayers lack power?
Lack of faith- Matthew 21:22
Lack of fervency- James 5:16 (what if you only spoke with your spouse as often as you prayer to God?)
Lack of purity- Psalm 66:18
