Sermon Notes: Why I Preach

Why I Preach

There's no greater place (to preach)
Mark 16:15    And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

If you think you cannot, should not, or aren't able to witness where you are, your wrong.

There's no greater time (to preach)
Jesus said
John 9:4    I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
John 4:35    Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
2nd Timothy 4:2    Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

There's no greater message (to preach)
God is real, therefore life has purpose, i am created by God, therefore I am special, sin, death, and Hell are real therefore we have a problem. BUT GOD sent His Son to pay OUR price!

Redeemed means bought back
Ephesians 1:7    In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

There's no greater savior (to preach)
John 14:6    Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
1st John 3:16    Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
2nd Corinthians 5:21    For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

There's no greater salvation (to preach)
Rom 5:8-10    But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Ephesians 2:12-13    That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

There's no greater people (to reach)
Your friends and loved ones MUST hear the gospel, the question is, where will they hear it? Just because they "attend a church" doesn't mean they are hearing the gospel. Do they hear it from you?

1st Timothy 4:16    Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
